Data Recovery
For precious and important data
First things first, Data Recovery is a minefield and unfortunately, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. The process can be either simple or complex. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of unscrupulous operators within the field, who will charge you several hundred pounds for a relatively simple job
If you’ve ended up here, it’s probably because you can’t access your data, and you’re wondering if you can get it back, how long it might take and how much it might cost.
The truth is, we might be able to recover all your data within a couple of days, or even within a few hours. There’s also a chance that we might be able to recover only some of your data or none of it. It depends on why you can’t access your data.
As well as Hard Drives and Solid State Drives, we may be able to recover data from mobile phones and iPhones, tablets and iPads, USB Memory Sticks and SD Cards.
We’ve tried to keep things transparent. For devices and drives with a capacity of up to 4TB, we offer 4 services.
Basic Recovery – This is for when your PC or Laptop has failed, but your storage drive is healthy. We’ll remove the drive and either convert it to an external Hard Drive which you can access via USB or transfer the data to a new external hard drive. Basic recovery prices are as follows:
- 2.5″ HDD and 2.5″ SSD conversion to external USB Drive – £75.00
- 3.5″ HDD conversion to external USB Drive – £100.00
- M2 SSD conversion to external USB Drive – £90.00
- Data Transfer to a new external Hard Drive – £65.00*
Standard Recovery – This is for when your drive or device is damaged and accessing your data requires a lab-based recovery using specialist tools and equipment.
- The cost of this service is £150.00*
- If recovery is unsuccessful or a more advanced (and expensive) recovery is required that you decide not to go ahead with then a lab fee of £25.00 will apply.
Advanced Recovery – This is for when extended engineering, advanced board work and micro-soldering are required to access your data.
- The cost of this service is £275.00*
- There is no obligation to go ahead with this service if standard recovery is unsuccessful
Advanced Recovery with Donor Components – This is for when Advanced Recovery techniques are required, but we also need to source donor components to access your data.
- The cost of this service is £395.00*
- There is no obligation to go ahead with this service if standard recovery is unsuccessful
Some of our customers prefer to just explore the basic and standard data recovery options, and we’re happy to accommodate this because we understand that when it becomes more expensive, they would rather explore other options. Please be aware this will incur a £25.00 lab fee if recovery is unsuccessful and you decide not to pursue more advanced recovery options.
*For data recovery, you will need to supply a blank, new and unopened Hard Drive or purchase one from us. The cost to purchase drives from us would be as follows:

Seagate 2TB External USB 3.0 HDD Encrypted – £70.00
Seagate 4TB External USB 3.0 HDD Encrypted – £90.00
